A dozen dinners or one evening of crunching
For the same not-quite-12 złoty you can leave the shop with two completely different bags. We counted both on today's prices.
Bag one, a dinner base, 11.96 zł:
- fusilli pasta 1 kg, 4.89 zł
- tomato pulp 400 g, 3.29 zł
- semolina 500 g, 1.99 zł
- wheat flour 1 kg, 1.79 zł
Bag two, a snack evening, 11.68 zł:
- Lay's chips 130 g, 8.69 zł
- Tic tac 18 g, 2.99 zł
The same amount, two different weeks. From the first bag you can cook a dozen-plus portions. A kilo of pasta is about thirteen dinners, half a kilo of semolina another ten, and the pulp makes a sauce to start (counting 75 g of dry pasta per portion, 50 g of semolina). It's a base, not finished meals, you buy fresh vegetables and protein separately. The second bag is one evening and 786 kilocalories that vanish over a single show.
It's not that chips are forbidden. An evening with a bag of chips has its place, and nobody's calling that a sucker's move. The point is to know what you get for the same amount. One time it's a base for a dozen dinners, the other one evening of crunching.
That difference is what Snugmeal shows up front. It plans a week of food from products that actually cook something, around your budget and real prices from Polish stores, with a total that matches at the till.
It launches this autumn. Leave your address in the form just below this post, and at launch you'll get a one-time 20% discount code for your first subscription.
